A lively lunchtime concert commencing with music written by Prokofiev in support of the Russian war effort and ending in Rome’s spectacular Colosseum face to face with Jan Van der Roost’s Spartacus, the most revered of all Roman slaves. Midway between Russia and Rome the concert will visit New York with Phillip Sparke and 17th Century England with Kenneth Hesketh.
